Thinking of Visiting Pleasant Hill Church-Tallapoosa, GA?
What to Expect
Many people have questions when they first visit a church. We want you to know this is not anything you need to worry about. We are a simple, relational church. People often remark how friendly Pleasant Hill is. Listed below you will find some of the basic information you will want to know before arriving.
How do I dress?
Dress comfortably. While some attendees do wear their "Sunday Best," most folks wear casual and comfortable clothes on Sunday morning. Don't worry about what you wear--just come prepared to have a wonderful time of worship and fellowship!
If I visit will I be put on the spot or called out?
No. We try to be friendly and warm and chances are someone will say hello to you if they do not know you, but it is never objective to embarrass you or call attention to you. We will ask that you fill out a small card that will allow us to get more information to you. If you don't want to, that's cool, we still appreciate you checking us out.
What do I bring?
A bible will help you to follow along in worship and in Bible study. If you have a Bible, bring it with you to church. Our pastor refers to the Bible often during his messages. If you don't have a Bible or forget it, Bibles are available.

Prayer and worship form the basis of Pleasant Hill Church. We offer a range of services and opportunities to participate. Our calendar includes time allotted for prayer, sermons, and personal reflection, as well as guided Bible study.
We meet weekly at 10:00 AM for Sunday School. We currently have classes for kids, young Adult and Older Adult. The kids program is very exciting and use the same Orange curriculum as many of the larger church. You are invited to come out and join us!
We currently meet at 11 AM and 5:00 PM for Sunday Services. We have choir led worship at the beginning of the service. Then we celebrate the birthdays and anniversaries of the members of the church. Next is offering and announcements. This is followed by a special singing before we have a sermon lead by our Pastor Jamie. At the end of the service we have a response time with music. There is no special dress code for any the services and we love for you to visit.
Wednesday Night Bible Study
We meet every Wednesday night at 6:30 PM for bible study. Currently we are in the book of Revelations. We also have a time of prayer during our study. This bible study is open to anyone so make plans to drop in. We serve a meal at 6:00 p.m. so come early for fellowship.
